By purchasing SkeenaWIld Salmon’s selectively harvested Skeena River sockeye you are partnering with Gitxsan fishers and the North Coast Steelhead Alliance to help transform the Skeena River salmon fishery.
Creating a value-added market for selectively harvested sockeye will encourage the transfer of harvest opportunities to several relatively small in-river selective fisheries.
Our vision is selective harvests, higher-value products, and direct benefits to First Nations communities. Selective fisheries means that bycatch, including steelhead, are released alive to continue their journey upstream.
